Apple has unveiled the iPhone 16, featuring refreshed colours, a vertically aligned dual-camera setup, and hardware improvements. Powered by the A18 chip, it's 30% faster than its predecessor, with better battery life, water/dust resistance, and a new Action Button. It also introduces a physical camera control button and supports satellite messaging (initially in the US and Canada).
The iPhone 16 debuts Apple Intelligence, an AI feature launching in October, and Visual Intelligence for camera-based searches. The dual-camera system includes a 48MP primary lens and an autofocusing ultra-wide lens with macro and 2x crop modes.
Both models retain the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens as the iPhone 15 but offer peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The design stays unchanged, with Dynamic Island, MagSafe charging, and USB-C. The iPhone 16 starts at $799, while the 16 Plus starts at $899, with 128GB of storage.
